AIM of the Project

The journey of Turkey to become a member state of European Union started in 1999 as a candidate country.

 

The role for the new generation is important in the process of being full member.

 

In this aspect, the Small Steps project aims at developing the students’ and teachers’ knowledge of;

​

• Europe (Culture, history) and European Union (its history, and how it works) 

​

• European values such as democracy and active citizenship 

​

• EU issues on environment and social issues

​

These will help the students to better understand the EU and its impacts on their lives so that the new generation can be better prepared and equipped towards the European Union.
